AD-ready vehicles allow operators and technology partners to develop and validate automated services within a defined operational design domain. Commercial benefits depend on the use case, regulatory approval and operating model.
Operational problem. Operators must serve feeder routes, low-demand corridors, first/last-mile services and municipal or campus circulation — duties where full-size buses are oversized for the passenger volumes — while fleets are expected to cut local emissions and noise.
Suitable product. The eShuttle, a purpose-built low-floor electric shuttle in 6.9 m and 8.4 m lengths, is sized for these services; AD-ready derivatives support operators preparing automated operation.
Configuration options. Vehicle length, battery capacity and charging configuration are selected for the duty cycle, route profile, passenger load and climatic conditions; seating and door layouts are configured to the service pattern.
Operational problem. Airports must move passengers airside and landside — between aircraft, terminals, parking areas and public transport connections — while reducing emissions and noise in a tightly controlled operating environment.

Configuration options. Configurations are selected for the transfer duty and passenger load. Defined, controlled airport routes also create opportunities for controlled-route automation with technology partners.
Operational problem. Industrial sites, business parks, ports and visitor destinations need quiet, zero-emission internal circulation for employees, crews and visitors — often on fixed routes with predictable demand.
Suitable product. The eShuttle covers passenger circulation; project-specific chassis solutions based on the eChassis provide a base for bespoke bodies and equipment.
Configuration options. Vehicles are configured to the site layout and duty cycle. Defined routes and controlled access make these environments well suited to step-by-step automation projects with technology partners.
Operational problem. Resorts, parks, historic centres and visitor attractions must move guests quietly and without local emissions, frequently in pedestrianised or otherwise sensitive environments.
Suitable product. The eTrain, eVersum’s electric road-train application, provides visitor transport in a flexible, road-going format.
Configuration options. Carriage composition and seating are configured to the application, route and expected visitor volumes.
